Luis Perea insists Atletico Madrid can go to Barcelona and beat them at Camp Nou despite their poor start to the season.

Atleti have not had the best of starts in the new Primera Liga season - collecting just one point from two matches.

The Colombian insists that los Rojiblancos can win all three points as long as the team does not panic when the inevitable Blaugrana attacks arrive.

"We have been in many similar situations before playing Barcelona and we have left there having played well," Perea affirmed to Sport.

"In order for us to win in Barcelona, which is not impossible, we must go there with confidence. We are hoping that this match will help to lift us up [the table].

"Personally, I am relaxed and the team, including before yesterday's game, is saying that the only way to turn this situation around is to be calm."

Despite the chaos both on and off the pitch in the past few days, Perea believes that the team must focus on winning games to take the pressure off themselves.

"It's clear that this week has been difficult for everyone involved with the club, but the only way that it can be remedied is by winning games on the pitch."
