Barcelona playmaker Xavi Hernandez believes his side have mustered a hunger for success once more.

With their recent 4-1 win over Racing Santander, Xavi claims are not unfounded.

Speaking to the club's official website, Xavi said: "We are showing the right mentality once again.

"The team had the right attitude when in possession and we appeared to enjoy ourselves a lot more.

"Everyone was pleased because we scored early on and then went on to perform well throughout and I think the team deserves a lot for credit for that.

"It is clear to see that the squad is hungry again and we are all highly motivated."

The Catalan giants had lay claim to the treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League last season, a ‘hunger pang' for more success could only spell trouble for the rest of La Liga.
