Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute hopes he can continue his fine scoring form against Athletic Bilbao this weekend.

Kanoute has scored six league goals against Bilbao since signing for Sevilla from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2005, making the Basque outfit his favourite team to score against.

The Mali international scored both of Sevilla's goals in a 2-1 win over Bilbao at San Mames in the league last February and will be relishing the prospect of keeping this run going.

Since losing to Valencia on the opening day of the season Kanoute's Sevilla side have won three league games on the trot and now sit in third position on the table, just ahead of a Bilbao side who suffered their first defeat of the season midweek against Tenerife.

Kanoute will be hoping for a repeat of last season's performance at San Mames to keep Sevilla in the winning mood ahead of a trip to Glasgow to take on Rangers in the Champions League.
