Benzema happy to wait for first-team chances

Karim Benzema is not too worried about spending time on the Real Madrid bench.

The star-studded Spanish side is overflowing with attacking talent that has at times left the French striker kicking his heels on the bench.

But the striker who scored against Xerez last weekend and understands that squad rotation is an important factor for Manuel Pellegrini's side.

"If Real Madrid are going to go far in every competition, we will play 70 games this season," he said according to L'Equipe.

"Obviously if I was left on the bench for several games in a row, I would be worried. But frankly this is not the case."

The French star could be set for a starting berth in the Champions League clash against Marseille on Wednesday.
