Malaga bite back at Barcelona

Malaga defender Weligton is unhappy over Barcelona's complains that Malaga were too physical during their game on Saturday.

Barcelona players Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique were both on the receiving end of the Brazilian's challenges.

But Weligton thought he was unfairly singled out.

"You only saw what I did and not what others did."

"If you ask people to talk about me, fine, you should also ask those who attacked me. There are images that show Zlatan Ibrahimovic also hit me and I have not said anything. It stays on the field."

Asked if he would apologise for his robust performance, Weligton snapped: "Messi did not apologise last year when he spat at Duda. The battles, clashes and kicking are things that occur in football, but spitting at a teammate, no."
