Following their victory over Real Madrid last weekend Sevilla striker Adriano is confident his team can beat anyone.

Adriano expressed his delight at the team's performance in last Sunday's 2-1 victory over Real, believing that los Rojiblancos can challenge any side on their day.

Speaking to Spanish daily Marca the Brazilian enthused "Now I am reminded of the Sevilla of the past, the one that everyone wanted to watch.

"We will have a great season. We have found a [high] level, but we are cautious and we must keep working.

"Our performance was great, and if we continue like this then we can even beat Barcelona - but we must keep our feet on the ground."

Adriano added that Manolo Jimenez's side were not expected to win trophies this year, a situation that heaps the pressure on their illustrious rivals.

"[Sevilla] are a candidate for everything - but the pressure is on Real Madrid and Barcelona," he said.

The versatile Brazilian also praised team-mate Jesus Navas, declaring that "it is time for him to join the national team".
