Villa focused on recovery

David Villa has the next game in his sights as he makes his way back from injury, and does not care for the Primera Liga golden boot.

Villa finished last weekend's game for Valencia against Racing Santander with a muscular injury and will miss the next fortnight at the very least for both club and country.

"After what happened to me on Sunday, the Pichichi is all the same to me," he was quoted as saying by Marca.

"That is something extra because I am going to lose the next two matches and all I am thinking about is that."

Villa has had to pull out of the Spain squad after sustaining the muscle strain and he was not overly concerned about who would be called up to play in place of him.

"The coach has to decide that because I am only a player," he added.

"Vicente del Bosque will deal it and all I can do is work on recovering."
