Pardeza: Real is not a one-man show
Miguel Pardeza has stated that Real Madrid cannot rely on Cristiano Ronaldo solely to win them games this season.
The Sporting Director also added that Manuel Pellegrini is capable of bringing success to the club.
Pardeza has gone on record to refute the criticism that Real has had to come under after the Sevilla defeat, and issued a warning to the other players on the team.
With the press and fans saying that Los Merengues can't win without their magical Portuguese wing wizard, the director challenged the rest of the team to step up for the next game.
"Cristiano is great player who can decide a game, open up a game, but a club like Real Madrid cannot afford to depend on only one player. It should be above individuals," Pardeza told daily El Mundo.
Pardeza conceded that Madrid will go through growing pains in the following months, and believes that Pellegrini is the man to usher in the new golden era for Los Blancos.
"It has taken Barca almost 20 years to achieve their success, their style," he continued.
"The demands and expectations are one thing, but the reality is something else.
"However much you push a team, it needs time. We have made our choice and the logical thing is to back it. Pellegrini is capable of driving this Ferrari.
"He doesn't lose his cool easily and this is positive. In a club as difficult as this it is good to have steady nerves."
