Kaka out to reign supreme again
Real Madrid and Brazil ace Kaka believes success at club and international level can help him reap yet more personal awards.
The Brazilian superstar, who moved to Spain from Italian giants AC Milan during the summer, landed both the Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 2007 and says that he will be in a position to repeat his feats as long as both Real and Brazil can reign supreme.
"To be elected again as the world's best have to win collective titles. I think I have the possibility of achieving that with Real Madrid and with the Selecao," the 27-year-old told AS.
"I'm going to make the most to achieve that. Every time when Brazil is well prepared we achieve success, but that did not happen in 2006."
Brazil have already qualified for the World Cup in South Africa whilst Real are currently second in the Primera Liga standings, a situation that Kaka believes can only get better.
"I am proud to be part of this team. We want to win and make Real Madrid history, but we must take things slowly and calmly," he said.
