Emery: We should have won

Valencia coach, Unai Emery is disappointed that his side did not claim all three points having outplayed Barcelona.

Emery's men gave the reigning champions a taste of their own medicine by playing the sort of passing game that Barca are renowned for.

Lionel Messi barely had a sniff at goal and the visitors looked short of ideas with Zlatan Ibrahimovic only named as a substitute.

Speaking to Marca after the match, Emery said: "We are satisfied with the performance, but sad not to have won."

"In the overall analysis, we had more chances than them. We wanted to play as we did, regardless of the personnel.

"Mathieu had played in that position before, and Bruno marked Messi. We want to move up the table, and we will continue along this path."

Emery also rallied his troops to make full use of home ground advantage in future games.

"We need the Mestalla to become a fortress, because we do not have enough points from our home games."
