Ronaldo: I have more freedom at Real
Cristiano Ronaldo admits that he has more freedom on the field with Real Madrid, and feels as if he is beginning his career afresh.
Ronaldo is playing his best football at the Bernabeu after his protracted move from Manchester United to Real and feels that he has the potential to transcend his 42-goal season with the Red Devils while with Los Meregues.
Real coach Manuel Pellegrini has let Ronaldo loose on the pitch and the freedom has spurred the Portugal international to greater heights.
"You feel more pressure at Madrid but I love that, it drives me on," Ronaldo told The Sun.
"My coach Manuel Pellegrini is clearly different to Sir Alex Ferguson. In fact, I'm much more free here, free to roam around the pitch in certain matches.
"Not only will I use that to become the same player I was at Old Trafford but even better. I feel like a new-born baby - I'm reborn.
"Just because I won everything with United and was voted Ballon d'Or and World Player doesn't mean I've reached the top," the winger insisted.
"In fact I feel like my career is just starting."
