Mata calm over contract talks

Valencia's Juan Mata has claimed he is not worried about his contract talks and prefers to do his talking on the pitch.

According to Super Deporte, the Spain international's agent who is his father has been in talks with Valencia president Manuel Llorente with regarding his Mata's contract.

"On that subject I am very calm, but it is a subject on which I prefer to stay aloof and focus on the sporting matters," he said, according to Super Deporte before adding that he is happy at the club and glad of the opportunity that lead to him playing for Spain.

"I neither expect nor intend to demand any figure. I'm happy to know that at this club and I am appreciated and have been given the opportunity here, which brought my international debut," he remarked.

"I have had two seasons here and I still have two more, I am very happy and comfortable and I think only about sporting matters."
