
Real's most loyal fan passes away
Real Madrid are mourning the passing of Felix Perez Alvarez who is regarded as Real longest-serving registered fan.
He was 99.
According to the club's official website, Alvarez has supported the club since 1923 and remained a paying member for the next 86 years.
He witnessed Real win 31 league titles and nine European Cups.
Alvarez, who died of natual causes, was awarded a gold insignia in 1992 as a reward for his loyalty.
Real will wear a black armband to honour him during the match against Sporting Gijon this weekend.
