David Villa: Plenty to play for
Valencia striker, David Villa refuses to accept that Barcelona have already sewn up the league title.
Villa who has started the season in great form has been struck down by injury in recent weeks.
Although his side are trailing the Catalan giants in the league table, the striker refused to believe that the title race is already over.
Speaking to Super Deporte, he said: "Right now, there is a lot of league games left and although it is true that Barcelona is ahead, there is plenty to play. We shall see who goes for the title when there is two months to the end,
"All clubs are required to keep winning, more so Real Madrid, who have had a good streak despite not being successful in their last two games and nobody can say Barcelona are at the end of a cycle, they demonstrate that on the pitch, despite two bad results,"
He also made known his feelings about being one of the nominees for the in the 'Best Striker' category at the LFP awards. Lionel Messi won the award ahead of players like Diego Forlan and Villa.
"It is hard to win such a nomination with two great strikers and to be among the top three makes me very proud," he declared.
