Jerzey Dudek is looking forward to playing for Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.

The Polish goalkeeper has been in his third season with Real as a back-up goalkeeper and the Copa del Rey represents his only chance of making the first-team.

"This is my third season at Real Madrid and I am always excited about the Copa del Rey because I may take part in its games. I like the championship very much and I'll give my all to win if I get the chance to play," the former Liverpool 'keeper told realmadrid.com.

"The Cup is a different and beautiful competition. I hope we win it this year. Real Madrid have failed to win the title for a long time because it isn't easy. You can lose five games in La Liga and still win the trophy, but you can't do that in the Copa del Rey."

"We have a very offensive mentality in the league, but we will have to pay special attention to defending in the Cup."
