Two games left for Pellegrini

Real Madrid manager, Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly been given the next two games to avoid the axe from the top.

Madrid started the season well before falling flat in recent games with the weekend's 0-0 draw away to Sporting Gijon before suffering a shock 4-0 defeat in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday at the hands of Division B side, Alcorcon.

With just one win in their last five games, the club directors are starting to get impatient and want a solution immediately.

After giving Pellegrini €250 million to spend in the summer, club president, Florentino Perez, is expecting a flurry of silverware heading to the Bernabeu which is beginning to seem unlikely.

Coupled with the poor form of players like Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Arbeloa and Marcelo, Pellegrini is reportedly two games away from the dreaded axe.

AS and Sport both reported that the weekend's encounter with Getafe and next week's Champions League tie against AC Milan will decide Pellegrini's future.

A defeat in either game could spell the end of his short reign as Madrid coach.
