Guardiola: Henry to deliver for Barca
Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has backed striker Thierry Henry to silence his critics and play a major part in the club's future.
Henry has enjoyed a distinctly quiet season so far, an unspectacular spell that has raised concerns over his long-term future at Barca.
However, despite intense competition for places at the reigning Spanish champions, Guardiola has insisted that Henry is still ahead of the likes of Pedro in the Catalan side's pecking order.
"Henry will shut many mouths. He is a player on another level," Guardiola revealed ahead of Saturday's clash with Osasuna.
"Pedro has a lot to learn to reach the level of Henry. He has done everything in football, has given us a lot and we have given to him.
"When it matters. I expect Henry will deliver."
