Puyol: We know how to win

Carles Puyol has stressed that Barcelona are well-versed in the art of winning and know what they must do to beat Rubin Kazan in the Champions League.

Puyol also revealed that there is not crisis at Barca, but can't control what is being spread in the media.

"We understand how hard we must play to win, whether the pitch or the temperature suits us or not. We are Barca and we'll always play with the same idea: keep the ball up in the opponents half and be aggressive," he told TV3.

"Talk of a crisis is something that we cannot control, when there is a positive result not many things are said, but the only certain thing is that the team is fine, and in Pamplona we played well and deserved to win."

Puyol also admitted that he did not demand anything from the team before extending his contract with La Blaugrana, adding that he intends to see out his career with Barcelona.

He continued, "I never asked Pep [Guardiola] to play in one position or another to renew my contract. I only asked the club for time to reflect on a very important decision and, of course, it was never a question of money.

"The idea of starting and finishing here is exciting, so it made me so happy to renew. You never know what can happen, but I will work to be on top, be useful to the team, completing the contract and, if possible, continue for another few years."
