Higuain: Let’s go for the treble!
Gonzalo Higuain has called for Real Madrid to “go for all titles” in preparation for the game against AC Milan in the Champions League.
Higuain score a brace in Real's 2-0 win over Getafe and believes that his team can still win their return leg against Alcorcon in the Copa del Rey, despite the team being down 4-0 after their disastrous first leg.
"Let's go for all titles. After Getafe, now let's go for everything," Higuain told AS.
"After the Alcorcon game we heard senseless criticism. I will always work to help this team. That's my goal."
Los Merengues coach Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that he is not at all surprised that Higuain scored over the weekend, but urged the Argentine hitman to involve fellow striker Karim Benzema more into the team's style of play.
"It is no surprise it came from Higuain. He is going to have a role in this team, but we had to integrate Benzema, who arrived this season," the Chilean declared.
