Villarreal coach, Ernesto Valverde, reckons Sevilla are playing their best football at the moment.

Valverde's men were sent home without a single point to show for after Fabiano and Freddi Kanoute put them to the sword with two late goals to seal a 3-2 home win at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.

Despite goals from Robert Pires and David Fuster, the Yellow Submarine was never good enough against a freeflowing Sevilla side.

Speaking at a post-matc interview, he said:"Sevilla are in their best period in several years but we tried to go out and win,

"For much of the game we pressured, but in the second half, when we were level, they were all over us and then the third goal came very fast."

"Sevilla have a clear and distinctive game at home, with speedy players on the wing and good forwards. When they took the lead the fans got behind them and pushed them over the line."
