Pep: I hope they take it seriously
Pep Guardiola has told Barcelona not to rest on their laurels against Cultural Leonesa in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey on Tuesday.
Two goals from Pedro helped the Catalans secure a 2-0 advantage going into the return leg at the Nou Camp.
According to Barcelona's official website, Guardiola reminded reporters that Barcelona have yet to qualify despite the two goal advantage.
"We'll try and do things well," he said.
"We're playing because we haven't qualified yet and we'll have to apply ourselves, with respect for the opponent. There ara a lot of nasty surprises in football. The first tie is always really dangerous. The fact that we won there doesn't mean we've clinched the tie".
Guardiola also admitted it's a challenge to keep his players motivated.
"I hope they take it seriously. I've learned as a manager that you don't train much. Every three of four days there's a match and the important thing is to keep the players motivated. A match is always the best training session".
The Barca coach later said he might consider giving a chance to young striker Bojan Krkic who has been on the sidelines - no thanks to the exploits of Pedro.
