Pellegrini starts Alcorcon mind games

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini is positive his team can overturn a 4-0 deficit in their Copa Del Rey second tie against Alcorcon.

Pellegrini's coaching role came even under more pressure after the Segunda Division B side crushed the Spanish giants 4-0 in their first-ever game against a team from the Primera Liga.

Speaking to realmadrid.com, Pellegrini insists he wants the Bernabeu to help the team overcome Alcorcon. He also promises his team will attack from the start but Karim Benzema will be rested.

"We need to make Alcorcon feel like they are playing against the entire Santiago Bernabeu," the Real coach said.

"We will put on players who can recover the ball and who are offense-minded. Benzema will rest because he has played several consecutive matches."

"Real Madrid must always seek victory. The crowd will support us no matter what."
