Gerard Pique has claimed he is absolutely sure that Cesc Fabregas will one day return to the Nou Camp to play for Barcelona.

Fabregas has been in fine form of late and this has fed new rumours of the midfield dynamo moving back to his old team; a team he played youth football for.

"Cesc will end up wearing the Blaugrana shirt one day, I've always said that," Pique affirmed to Sport.

"I'm sure that the canterano class of '87 will find themselves together. Cesc prefers to keep his opinion to himself."

There have also been reports stating that Real Madrid could jump into the fray with an attempt to sign the Gunners star, but Pique just laughed at the thought of his friend joining La Blaugrana's most hated rivals.

"I'd hate to see him at Real Madrid and I don't think it will happen. In football, you can't use the word impossible, but I don't believe it will occur."
