Barcelona have opened talks with two promising young players in a bid to keep them away from potential suitors.

According to Sport, Barcelona will seek to extend the contracts of mdifielders Thiago Alcantara, 18, and Jonathan dos Santos, 19.

Their contracts are set to terminate at the end of this season.

Thiago is a Spain youth international and the son of Brazilian World Cup winner, Mazinho. 

Dos Santos is a Mexico international and the younger brother of Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos.
