Sevilla can make waves in the Champions League claims club president Jose Maria Del Nido.

A win over Unirea Urziceni in Burcharest on Tuesday will secure top spot for the Andalusian side.

According to Goal.com, Del Nido is confident Sevilla will be a team to be feared in the knock-out stages of the Champions League if Sevilla top their group,

"We should be fighting the big teams at the top. They are required to win titles and we, if we can be in the fight, can do the same. Fortunately so far that is what we're doing but there is still a long way to go in the competition," he told AS.

"Let us now focus on tomorrow's game. If we win we confirm that we are a serious competitor in the knockout stage.

"We have maintained since the start of the tournament that we have an excellent squad, and that's where we'll see if we can actually keep pace. We have suffered injuries lately, but the team has maintained the same level, which suggests that Sevilla are going continue fighting.

Sevilla are in the same group as Stuttgart, Rangers as well as Unirea Urziceni. Only the Romanian side can pip Sevilla for top spot in this group.
