Villa expects to contend on all fronts

Valencia and Spain striker David Villa has declared his team will fight to the end in all three competitions this season.

Los Che currently occupy fourth place in La Liga, just four points off leaders Real Madrid, and are still in with a chance of Copa del Rey and Europa League glory.

However the quicksilver striker refuses to get carried away with the teams good form saying that November is too early for any trophies to be handed out.

"There are no titles won in November, but we'll fight to win them to the end, we are sure of that. People are happy about our performance and hopefully we continue playing this for a long time," he told Super Deporte.

"To be challenging in November does not offer you anything because there is a long way to go in the championship.  We want to be candidates when we get to the final two months, but not only in the league, also in Copa del Rey and Europa League".

Villa went on to say that the team would take one match at a time, starting with this weekend's game against Mallorca at the Mestalla.

"The main thing is to win against Mallorca, we believe in ourselves.

"Barca play Madrid and we will watch that game because they are our rivals. I hope to see a very good game and a draw would be best for us, because we would close the gap by two points if we win at Mallorca on Saturday." he added.
