Rossi rejects Russian move
Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi has rejected the opportunity to move to Russian champions Rubin Kazan.
Rubin are believed to have targeted the 22-year-old Italy international as a replacement for Chori Dominguez but the American born striker is believed to have turned down a lucrative contract worth somewhere in the region of €4 million a year.
The Russians are rumoured to have made a bid of €20 million, which is double what the Yellow Submarine paid to sign Rossi from Manchester United in 2007, however club president Fernando Roig has recently declared that none of their players will be leaving.
"Nobody will be leaving or joining because the team is complete," Roig declared.
Villarreal are also believed to have an agreement with Juventus who reportedly have first refusal on the player should he opt to leave the club.
It is now understood that the Russian outfit will turn their attention to Ajax striker Luis Suarez or Getafe centre forward Roberto Soldado in a bid to bolster their attack when Dominguez leaves.
