Valencia president Manuel Llorente has rated David Villa to be worth more than £40 million.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool as well as Real Madrid have been linked with the Spain striker.

Villa will again be among the names to be mentioned when the transfer window reopens in January.

During a lecture this week about the history of the club, Llorente was asked by students if £40 million was a good price for Villa.

"Ideally, I would seek double that," responded Llorente.

"But it will be the market which decides. You can never sell for the price you want, it is up to the buyer to decide that."
