Baptista flattered by Spanish interest
Roma forward Julio Baptista is said to be flattered by the interest shown in him by Atletico Madrid.
The former Real Madrid forward is no stranger to the La Liga and has failed to shine in the Serie A. He has only played seven games in the league and three in the Europa league.
To further keep him off the pitch is his poor goal scoring form, having scored none in all competitions. This has fuelled speculation that a switch to Spain is on the cards.
In an interview with Punto Radio, the Brazilian said: "The interest from Atletico Madrid is an honour for me.
"If I was to change team then I would be happy to move there. However, I want to remain at Roma."
It was just on Friday that his agent claimed that a move is not possible and that his client, Baptista will be remaining at the club.
