Gonzalo Higuain is surprised by the uproar caused by Cristiano Ronaldo’s sending off and wonders why the media is making a mountain out of a molehill.

Ronaldo scored before being sent off as Real Madrid bounced back from their defeat by Barcelona to beat Almeria 4-2.

"I did not see whether Ronaldo celebrated Karim's goal," Higuain told Marca after the game.

"His sending off was something that can always happen on the pitch. The important thing is that we turned the match around.

"We conceded two unexpected goals, but we recovered.

"We are playing well, we just have to correct those bad minutes."
