Everton’s Jack Rodwell has attracted Spanish interest in the form of the big spending Real Madrid.

The Los Blancos will compete with Manchester United for the youngster's signature and according to English tabloid The People, the Spanish giants are planning a summer swoop for the teenager.

David Moyes would hate to lose his teenage sensation and is highly unlikely to encourage offers for him, however, the Galacticos may have enough cash to tempt the Merseyside club into negotiations.

According to reports, scouts have been following up on the youngster on five separate occasions and have had nothing but delightful reports to pass on to Madrid manager, Manuel Pellegrini. Reportedly Madrid will be making an offer in the next few weeks with the move completed after the World Cup.

Rodwell signed a 5-year contract in March 2008 but a chance to play for one the biggest clubs in the world in the La Liga, alongside some of the best players in the world may be too hard to resist for the youngster.
