Valencia look set to offload Nikola Zigic to Serie A side Roma, according to Sky Sports News.

Following the big money signing of Alejandro Dominguez from Rubin Kazan, Valencia have a surplus of strikers and the giant striker from Serbia looks like the odd man out.

Zigic's agent has revealed that the player might move clubs in January and Roma are interested in bringing the player to Serie A.

The tall forward had a successful spell on loan at Racing Santander last season but has been surplus to requirements again this season, with coach Unai Emery ready to listen to offers.

His agent, Milan Calasan, had recently commented that there had been no contact from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, but Sky Sports comments that the Giallorossi are set to end Zigic's time in Spain.
