Barcelona: Fabregas will come home
Barcelona vice-president Alfons Godall has vowed to launch a bid to take Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas back to Spain.
The Catalan giants have been courting the Spaniard playmaker in the last few months, and The Sun has now reported that the current La Liga league leaders will pour in a summer bid of £40million to snare the top Gunner.
Godall declared: "Sooner or later Cesc will end up coming back. We are a club that can sign players because we are respected and solvent."
Fabregas was part of Barca's youth team until Arsene Wenger convinced him to join Arsenal at the age of 16.
With Godall being named as one of two candidates for the club's presidential election alongside Sandro Rossell, the move could come true as both men are keen admirers of Fabregas.
They might, however, have to slug it out with arch rivals Real Madrid who are also interested in buying Fabregas to form an all-Spanish midfield axis with former Liverpool ace Xabi Alonso.
