Jimenez: "We cannot relax at all"

Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez has warned his side not to lose focus after winning the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final.

In what is a repeat of the 2007 Sevilla-Getafe final, which Sevilla won 1-0, the Andalusian side have built themselves a good platform at the midway stage of the tie thanks to goals from Luis Fabiano and Getafe's Mario Alvarez, who put through his own net.

Jimenez was delighted with the result, but knows that with next week's second leg at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez - where Getafe have won eight of their 12 fixtures this season - to come, his side cannot allow any complacency to creep in.

"It is a very important result because of the two goals, but the result is not decisive," he said.

"Getafe have shown why they are so close to the European places, that they are a great team and they had many chances.

"The best thing about the result is that we depend on ourselves, but if we concede a goal in Getafe it will be very dangerous.

"We cannot relax at all, or think that we are already in the final. We are closer, but we cannot be overconfident."

Getafe coach Michel, who is hoping to lead the club from the outskirts of Madrid to their third Copa del Rey final appearance in four years, said: "The tie against Sevilla is not easy, but we are not giving up at all.

"We are playing at home now and this has to give us a boost to try and turn the tie around."
