Iniesta: Poor refereeing hurt us

Andres Iniesta has slammed the match referees in Barcelona’s match against Getafe, saying their poor decisions hurt his team.

Barca still managed to edge out Getafe 2-1, but both Rafael Marquez and Gerard Pique were given their marching orders in the match.

"The referee hurt us dramatically with the decisions he has taken and we can do little about it," he said after the game.

"The most important is that we do our jobs and continue taking points every game. The team has returned to giving a good display and the feeling is very good."

Iniesta then said he believes that he is in top form and would like to surpass his performances last season.

"I feel good, I try to get the utmost consistency, it is difficult to compare with last year but what I want is to be better than the previous season."
