Barca woes ahead of Atleti clash
Barcelona's defensive crisis worsened as Dmytro Chygrynskiy became the latest player to be ruled out against Atletico Madrid.
Chygrynskiy has an injury in his left biceps which will sideline the centre-back for at least a week.
It is a big blow to Pep Guardiola who already has a decimated defence and will be without Eric Abidal, Gerard Pique, Rafael Marquez, Dani Alves and Yaya Toure for the visit to the Vicente Calderon.
Pique and Marquez will be suspended following their red cards against Getafe, while Alves is facing a three-week lay-off with a calf injury.
Midfielder Toure, who played in defence following Pique's early dismissal, limped off with a leg injury and is likely to be sidelined for 10-15 days and Abidal was yesterday ruled out for up to two months after suffering an injury in training.
Guardiola now has just three first-team defenders available to him in Carles Puyol, Gabriel Milito and Maxwell.
