Kaka: I am in perfect shape

Kaka: I am in perfect shape

Real Madrid playmaker Kaka has declared himself recovered from the hernia injury that has been plaguing him recently.

The Brazilian came to Real in the summer on the back of high expectations but has failed to live up to them so far.

His indifferent performances have only been highlighted given the success enjoyed by the summer's other big signing Cristiano Ronaldo. And the hernia injury he had been carrying only compounded matters.

However, Kaka declared he has put all this behind him.

"My sports hernia is a thing of the past. I am in perfect shape and ready to give my all. I feel no pain whatsoever and I am ready to help my team," he told the club's official website RealMadrid.com

He also revealed that he had brushed aside criticisms about his performances.

"I am used to pressure, so it hasn't been a problem. You need to be prepared for it if you play for Real Madrid, but I feel better day by day, I improve day by day."

The midfielder was pleased with his outing against Tenerife over the weekend in which Real mauled their opponents 5-1. Kaka got on the scoresheet in that match.

"I improve day by day. I am pleased with my performance in Tenerife and because I am finding my form, I want to have a great season with Real Madrid," he said.
