Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido has claimed the Madrid press is trying to unsettle his players ahead of their La Liga clash this weekend.

Reports have recently intensified over Jesus Navas and alleged Real Madrid interest on the winger.

Sevilla are unhappy that the links have come so close to the clubs's La Liga clash on Saturday. This match could decide the destiny of the league title.

Speaking to Marca, Del Nido said, "It is not a coincidence that before an important game, the Madrid press try to unsettle the rival team."

"That is because they understand the importance of the three points. Navas is part of Sevilla.

"He has a contract with Sevilla, and we are not thinking of selling him. The Madrid press stocks up on news with the sole purpose of breaking the confidence of their rivals.

"But Jesus Navas is prudent, sensible and a magnificent professional."

Del Nido then spoke about the upcoming game in more detail, continuing, "Madrid knows that it will be a tough game.  We already beat them at home.

"Sevilla can go to the Bernabeu and win the three points."
