Sevilla vice-president reveals La Liga woes
Sevilla vice-president Jose-Maria Cruz told reporters that La Liga clubs are not in the best of financial health.
Despite both Barcelona and Real Madrid topping the Deloitte rich list, other Spanish clubs in La Liga are not as financially secure as the top two.
Valencia, the third-most supported Spanish club after Real and Barca, are heavily in debt and work on a new stadium has also stopped as a result.
According to English newspaper The Guardian, Cruz stated the financial difficulties at the Soccerex conference.
"The situation in Spain is especially bad," he said. "There are six or seven of the 20 clubs in the Primera Liga who are in bankruptcy or administration with difficulties with social security and the tax authorities."
