Sevilla defender Federico Fazio has declared that his side is not in awe of the striking power possessesed by Real Madrid.

Sevilla play Real this weekend.

Manuel Pellegrini's men have been in fearsome form lately - with their 5-1 thrashing of Tenerife last weekend proof of the destruction the side can cause.

Fazio however refused to be cowed by his opponents.

In comments reported in AS, he said: "It is just another match. Real Madrid do not scare us".

"We have to be focused, but not just because we will be facing players like Cristiano Ronaldo. We would have to be just as concentrated if we were facing [Roberto] Soldado or Aduriz."

Fazio has returned to first team action after a lengthy five month lay-off due to injury.

"After five months out, I could not imagine returning like this. I played three minutes against Getafe and, after that, I have played three consecutive matches. I feel very well and the coach has always had confidence in me. It's easy to return in such an enivronment."

"Right now I am playing as a central defender, but I am comfortable in both positions, wherever the coach wants to put me."

In form striker Luis Fabiano will miss the game against Real, but Fazio is confident that Sevilla have enough firepower to make up for his absence.

"We have [Frederic] Kanoute, [Alvaro] Negredo and Renato along with Acosta who has recovered from his injury."
