Atletico Madrid coach Quique Flores is targeting Copa del Rey and European glory for his rapidly improving team.

Sevilla will be Atletico's opponents in the Copa del Rey final on the May 26 after the two teams dispatched Getafe and Racing Santander respectively in the semi-finals.

Flores is confident his team can also go far in the Europa League competition as they face Sporting for a place in the semi-finals.

"When we arrived, the situation was complicated because we had to stop many problems and another thing was the fixture list, which was brutal. We had to take risks to get to where we needed to be. Now we are more reliable," he told AS.

"The final will be very nice, I feel it will be a strong final, the best finals in recent years because on the pitch there will be two very good teams [Atletico Madrid and Sevilla], with a spectacular support and there will be all the conditions to be of the most best finals in history.

"We have a challenge to get the best possible team to the finals. The group does not think about the end of the season but that is a big prize. They are also aware of the importance and the Europa League and that excites us."
