Barcelona made a mistake by signing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Inter, claims former Italy and AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi.

Sacchi, who has coached for Real Madrid, says Ibrahimovic does not fit into Pep Guardiola's system of play at Barcelona.

The Swede is hardly prolific as well having scored 12 goals in 21 La Liga games.

And that has been costly for the defending La Liga champions this season. Barca recently struggled to a 2-2 draw at lowly Almeria to concede top spot to bitter rivals Real Madrid. Ibrahimovic was sent off in that game.

"Barca erred by signing Ibrahimovic. He is a fantastic player in an individual system. But in a team system he costs the others to get him involved," said Sacchi.

"So far, there's been big problems. I hope Pep can solve them. Maybe in a couple of weeks he will, that would be fantastic."
