Guardiola set for new Barca deal
Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is set to sign a new deal with the Catalan club in the next few days, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
Guardiola, who led his side to the Primera Division title last season, has been in talks over his future with the club after his contract expired on 30 June.
New Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has indicated his desire to keep the Spaniard at the helm shortly after taking over but negotiations have apparently hit a snag.
However, reports have it that both club and coach are on the brink of finalizing an agreement that will extend Guardiola's reign at the Nou Camp for the next three years.
Guardiola, who took reigns at the Nou Camp in 2008, won a famous treble in his first season in charge and guided the Spanish giants to a second consecutive La Liga title in the 2009-10 campaign.
