"Spain and Barca the teams to copy"
Argentina midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has paid tribute to the playing styles of Barcelona and Spain.
Barcelona are widely considered to be one of the best club teams of the decade, while Spain are the holders of both the European Championship and the World Cup.
Both sides play with an emphasis on keeping possession and short, sharp, accurate passing - a model that has proven to be successful at the domestic and international levels.
Speaking to La Nacion, Cambiasso said: "You cannot die without trying to play the way Spain do. I think that Spain and Barcelona are those two teams a neutral fan would always pay to watch just for the sake of seeing them play.
"Every player enjoys to try and play the way they do. In terms of style and ideas, Barcelona are ahead of any other club in the world."
"The idea of our coach, Sergio Batista [who took over from Diego Maradona], is to have the same mentality," added the Inter Milan player. "We want to play a lot with the ball like they do and keep possession most of the time.
"We have to try and be like them because we have enough talent to do so.
Argentina and Spain clash in a friendly in Buenos Aires on Tuesday.
