"Ibra was turning into a Barca zombie"
Mino Raiola, the agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has joined the player in criticising Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.
Ibrahimovic has hit out strongly at Guardiola ever since making his move from the Nou Camp to AC Milan, claiming that the manager had frozen him out of the squad.
Now Raiola has entered the fray as well. In comments quoted by AS in Spain, the agent said:"In Barcelona, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic was on his way to becoming a zombie, so we decided to look for another destination far from the city.
"Frankly, we do not know the reasons why relations stalled with [Pep] Guardiola. Suddenly, everything changed, and we consider it crucial to find another future."
To be fair, Guardiola has maintained a dignified silence on the issue despite the Swede's provocations - although Barca right-back Dani Alves claimed recently that Ibrahimovic lacked the patience to adapt his game to the club's style.
Raiola also claimed that his client had received a number of other offers.
"Ibra had several options when leaving Barcelona. The most economically interesting was Manchester City, but he felt that this team is not ready to win," he said.
With Robinho joining the striker at the San Siro, there are high expectations of AC Milan - both domestically and in Europe.
