Hildebrand to fight for Valencia place
Timo Hildebrand has vowed to fight for his place at Valencia even though his agent claims the club are after a new goalkeeper.
Hildebrand established himself as first choice at the Mestalla last season despite some indifferent displays which ultimately led to him being left out of the Germany squad for Euro 2008.
His agent, Ricky Schanks, told Bild newspaper "We have spoken to Valencia and they have informed us that they are looking for a new goalkeeper."
Despite the news, Hildebrand has vowed to battle on.
"I have been number one at Valencia for the last six months and I will now work even harder to remain number one and also push for a place in the national team again," he added.
"I have no fear whatsoever."
