Valencia president Agustin Morera says the club will listen to "serious" offers for star players David Villa and David Silva.

Star forward Villa has been linked to a host of top clubs across Europe, while Silva is also reportedly attracting interest from Barcelona.

"For us they (Villa and Silva) are fundamental players but it's not down to me to say who plays and how," he told Spanish newspaper AS. "If very serious offers come in they will be looked at if (technical secretary Juan Gines) Sanchez and (head coach Unai) Emery think it's convenient."

He added: "If not they'll say that these players can't leave because they are important. We'll do what's best for the club.

"The journalists were saying that all our players were for sale. You'll realise that this is false."

Valencia suffered a difficult year last season, finally finishing the league in 10th place after having gone into a free-fall under former boss Ronald Koeman which left them hovering above the relegation zone going into the final weeks of the campaign.

They did, however, manage to win the Copa del Rey, meaning they will play in the UEFA Cup next season.
