Guardiola promises fans all-out attack

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has called on fans to pack the Camp Nou while promising to go all out on the offense against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.

Barcelona go into the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinal tie with the upper hand after coming away with a 2-1 win at Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg.

With two away goals to their name, the Catalonian club can afford to sit back and defend as Real Madrid will have to win by two goals or more or score more away goals to claim a spot in the next round.

Speaking after a closed-doors training session, the former Barca player urged fans to make the home advantage count and promised that entertaining football will be on display.

He said: "I just hope the ground is full. What would upset me most is for the place not to be packed to the rafters"

"You will see two great teams put on a very good show. The rest doesn't matter. Come to enjoy yourselves, to support us, to be with us and to forget about the rest. Watch Real Madrid. Not a specific manager or player."

However, Guardiola is wary of the consequences of trying to defend against Real Madrid;s attacking prowess and reiterated his respect for the club's title rivals.

He added: "I hold reverential respect for Real Madrid. They are the worst team we could expect to play on Wednesday. I predict a tight match right until the end.

"If we try to defend the result from the first leg, they'll beat us. If we want to make the semi finals we'll have to play another great match," Guardiola said, "I have a feeling that Real Madrid are going to get a goal at the Camp Nou and so we are going to have to try to get one too."

"We have to be prepared to face the very best Real Madrid have got, whether they push forwards or wait further back. What we have to do is play fast. If we are quick and pass the ball around and avoid contact, so much the better."

Real Madrid's last victory over Barcelona over the past three seasons came in last season's Copa del Rey final, where they beat Barca 1-0 after Ronaldo's extra-time goal.
