Ronaldinho not worried about future

Outgoing Barcelona forward Ronaldinho is calm about his future despite his lack of transfer activity for next season.

Ronaldinho and his team-mates Deco and Samuel Eto'o all moved a step closer to the Nou Camp exit door on Tuesday after new Barca coach Pep Guardiola revealed the star trio are not part of his plans for next season.

But despite interest from all over europe Ronaldinho, who is currently in his native Brazil resting before next season, suggested he would stay put should no club come in for him.

He told Brazilian TV station SporTV: "I've got a contract with Barcelona until 2010 and I just have to stay calm.

"Until July 19 (when Barca pre-season training begins) lots of things can still happen, but all I'm worried about now is getting better and being able to play again as soon as possible and to get back in the national team as soon as possible."

Ronaldinho continued to stress that his main concern at the moment was getting back to full fitness, rather than finding a new club, adding: "If God wills it, I hope to be back playing as soon as possible."

The 28-year-old claims he will feature for Brazil at this summer's Olympic Games as one of his country's over 23-year-old players.

Despite not knowing where he will be playing his club football come August, Ronaldinho insists he knows that he will play some part in Brazil's campaign for a gold medal in Beijing.

"I'm sure I'll be in Beijing," he told Brazilian TV station SporTV. "If God wills it then I will be back in the national team."

Playing in the Olympics would rule Ronaldinho out of the start of the season for any new club.
