Mark Hughes makes Milito bid
Mark Hughes has started to map out the team he wants with a US$15.8m bid for Real Zaragoza’s Argentine hitman, Diego Milito.
The Primera Liga outfit have been relegated to the Segunda division and many of their top stars like Pablo Aimar, Roberto Ayala and Milito himself are all seeking moves to continue playing top flight football.
The Marca reported that Zaragoza are ready to accept any offer of "no less than US$15m".
Negotiations between the Blanquillos and the blue half of Manchester are at a very advanced stage as Hughes looks to wrap up the deal fast to avoid any interference from Premier League rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.
Milito who is also a full-fledged Argentine international with 14 caps joined the Spanish side from Serie A club, Genoa back in 2005 and has scored 51 goals in 108 appearances.
The player himself has yet to comment on any possible transfer move in the summer but his agent and lawyer, Adrian Faija admitted that Manchester City have been the only club to make a substantial bid for his client's services.
